An adjunt professor at GW Law, Professor Buchman is also on the board of advisors of the new GW Center for Law, Economics & Finance (C-LEAF). C-LEAF and The GW Banking Law Society hosted this guest panel event.

Joining the discussion was C-LEAF Director and Professor Lawrence Mitchell; Alex J. Pollock, Resident Fellow, American Enterprise Institute and former President and CEO of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago; Mark Carey, Senior Adviser, Division of International Finance, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; and via phone from New York, Robert J. Jackson, Jr., Deputy Special Master, Office of the Special Master for TARP Executive Compensation.

March 18, 2010 | USA Today reporter Joan Biskupic, author of "American Original: The Life and Constitution of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia," spoke about her book and research and took questions from students . Professor John Duffy, former clerk for Justice Scalia, and Associate Dean for Public Interest and Public Service Alan Morrison, moderated the discussion.

March 19, 2010 | The GW Law Association for Women (L.A.W.) and the Law Alumni Association awarded PepsiCo General Counsel Kathryn Carson (J.D. '83) with this year's Belva Lockwood Award for her outstanding contributions to the legal community. 2L Margaret Pollard, 2L and L.A.W. President Alisa Yasin, and Dean Frederick M.
