March 17, 2010 | The GW Black Law Students Association (BLSA) hosted a make-your-own-cupcake bakesale.

March 17, 2010 | The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) hosted their semi-annual Cutest Pet Photo Contest fundraiser.

Supreme Master Television stopped by the SALDF event in the Dee Kelly Student Commons to interview students for a segment on being vegan.

March 17, 2010 | Students and staff member Cris help sell t-shirts and bags for the Environmental Law Association (ELA).

March 17, 2010 | The Career Development Office hosted a U.S. State Department career panel on Wednesday. Students heard about exciting career opportunities available at the State Department from experienced Foreign Service officers including Management Officer Staci Brothers Ali-Ibrahim, Economic Officer Joel Kopp, Economic Officer Joseph Giblin, and Consular Officer Timothy Roche.

This was one of several similar events that the CDO hosted this week and most weeks at the Law School.

March 17, 2010 | Students help raise money for the Equal Justice Foundation (E.J.F.) by selling NCAA bracket entries.

March 17, 2010 | The Art and Cultural Heritage Law Society (ACHLS) and the Human Rights Law Society (HRLS) hosted “Cultural Heritage as Intellectual Property” with American University Professor Robert Albro, socio-cultural anthropologist and former Fulbright Scholar.

The next day on Friday, ACHLS held an event at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian (NAMI) Cultural Resources Center in Suitland, MD. The program consisted of a private tour and expert's lecture on consevation, research, and study of the NAMI collections and a career panel with Smithsonian Office of the General Counsel attorneys about careers in museums and museum law.

March 17, 2010 | The Clerkship Office hosted "Judicial Clerkship Info Session for IP Students."

To give an idea of the breadth and variety of events and topics at GW Law on any day, the next day on March 18, the Clerkship Office, together with the Law Association for Women (L.A.W.), hosted a career panel, "Women in the Judiciary" with judges from the Association of Women Judges.
